Aspiring College Sports Reporter

I was born in Clanton, Alabama, but in middle school, moved to Sequim, WA where I graduated high school in June of 2010. My passion for sports started at a young age. I grew up around sports- both playing them and watching them. My dad was one of the high school football coaches and I was a manager. When I came to the University of Alabama, I declared Sports Broadcasting my major in the spring of 2011.

I'll be graduating in May 2014 with a degree in Sports Broadcasting from the University of Alabama. Throughout my career at the University, I've had several internships that have equipped me for future jobs.

For television, I had an internship at WVUA TV from August 2012- August 2013. This  helped equipped me with the abilities to film games, edit footage, provided opportunities for packages, taught me how to do proper standups, and helped me network for future opportunities.

For radio, I currently hold an intern position at 99.1 WDGM in Tuscaloosa. I am learning how to edit the radio interviews, set up interviews, and am getting on air opportunities.

For writing, I currently hold an intern position at isportsWeb.com. I cover Alabama football and write 2-3 articles per week. My job is to pick, critique, and analyze games, film, and players per week.
